Julie Ratinoff, MA, LPC, ATR-P

Program Manager

Julie has a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a concentration in Transpersonal Art Therapy from Naropa University, a Master's degree in Teaching and Early Education from Virginia Commonwealth University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Art History and Anthropology from the University of Colorado-Boulder. Julie draws on a holistic approach to mental wellness using art therapy and other creative modalities to support clients on their healing journey. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, creating art, writing, and traveling.

Justin Hoss, MA, LPCC

Clinical Support

Justin has a Master’s Degree of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from University of Northern Colorado, a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology, and a Bachelor’s of Science in Human Services. He has always gravitated towards creative interventions because he values creativity and self-expression in his work. The Boulder Strong Resource Center is a place where he can honor his values and exercise his passions for supporting others and creating music. His hobbies include hanging out with his cat, playing guitar, attending concerts, and hiking around the beautiful state we live in.

Jennifer Finney, MA, LPC

Clinical Support

Jen has Master’s degrees in both Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a concentration in Transpersonal Art Therapy from Naropa University and Teaching K-12 Art from Morgan State University, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Studio Art from University of Mary Washington. Jen is an intuitive and compassionate trauma-informed counselor who promotes her clients’ healing via a variety of sustainable wellness practices. She views art as one of many effective vehicles for exploration, healthy expression and healing. In her free time, Jen enjoys connecting with friends and family, walking in nature, cooking, and making art.

Aaron Brewer, BA

Case Manager

Aaron has a BS in Psychology from the University of Alabama. He derives knowledge and inspiration from his mother, who has worked in the mental health field his entire life. Aaron has lived in many different countries and states, allowing him to better understand and support those who need it wherever he goes. His background includes working with eating disorders, substance abuse, intellectual disabilities, and mood disorders with a variety of ages; but his curiosity extends to all areas of mental health, motivating him to return to school in the near future and expand his ability to support others.

Alexis has a bachelor's degree in psychology and holds her certified addictions technician license. Her background includes working with trauma, substance use, and crisis work. She aims to create a space where people feel comfortable and a sense of belonging. Her passion for helping and connecting with others motivates her to go back to school to expand her knowledge and skills. In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with her cats and dog, reading, listening to music, and enjoying time outside.

Massage Therapist

Rivkah was the first employee of #BoulderStrong. As a Boulder resident with a passion for helping others heal, she knew she had to help right away. Rivkah provides trauma-informed massages as she knows trauma is stored in the body. She knows the human body is capable of deep healing and transformation. Rivkah enjoys writing and hiking with her magical dog, Banana.

AcuDetox

Ellie Wilkins has a wealth of experience and exposure in the somatic world of healing trauma. She is #BoulderStrong’s AcuDetox Specialist, a N.A.D.A. acupuncture protocol of five needles in each ear. She also has a Master’s in Counseling with a Somatic Emphasis and an interest in neuroscience. Her focus is delivering this wisdom through compassion, grounding, and always returning to the breath.

Ashley Shires, MA

AcuDetox

Ashley has an M.A. in Creative Writing and is an M.A. candidate in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Adams State University. She is an AcuDetox Specialist, certified by N.A.D.A. to administer ear acupuncture to help balance the nervous system. Ashley has a passion for healing modalities. She is also certified in Brainspotting, a trauma-informed therapy, and she has taught yoga for over 20 years. She enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, mountain biking, snowboarding, and hiking with her sweet and gentle adopted Great Dane, Lilah.

Tina Garcia

Massage Therapist

Tina is a Colorado native born and raised in nearby Longmont. She is a Licensed Massage Therapist and a trained Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist. Her mission is to meet the client where they are and provide a safe place to relax, release, and process physical, emotional, and spiritual issues.

Tina also has a BA in psychology, has studied energy work, has served in the US Army, and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Social Work.Tina enjoys camping and spending time with family, friends, and her two dogs, Blackie and Zorro.

Nick was born and raised in Boulder, Colorado. Nick enjoys giving back to his community through acupuncture. He is NADA Certified and is very knowledgeable in the history of AcuDetox. Please ask him any questions you may have. Nick spends his free time hiking and snowboarding around Colorado.
